Preview

So here's a little preview of something that may be published next year. I'm not going to say much about it, as it's still in it's infancy, but it's my own story I'll be writing and penciling. I do need a solid inker and colorist, so if you know any one who wants to work for Image style payment, let me know.

Bored at Valleyfair...

There tends to be a lot of down time when doing Caricatures at the park (though lately it has been busy). So here are some examples of crap I drew to pass the time. Most of it is stiff and boring, simply because I had no creative energy, but some of it is kinda fun. I do enjoy going to town with the airbrush on this stuff.

The Havok is my little re-design of his old black and white costume, which I love. I threw in a little of the new costume in there, as the lines down his legs and arms would light up blue when he powers up. My favorite, of course, is the Soranik Natu. There are more of these, but they're so static and lifeless I couldn't bring myself to post them.

Maybe I'll get back to drawing actual comic pages some time soon....

SpringCon print!

So here is my print for SprinCon. I decided to do X-force because I wanted to, that's about it. I've been wanting to do a big group shot of them for a while and this seemed like a good venue for it. The exciting things is, that the talented Tom Nguyen is inking it while I assist him during this busy week. Even with his tight schedule Tom was more than willing to help out, I've never seen him do this for anybody and especially not for free, thanks Tom. This makes him the second pro to ink my work, last con was Doug Mahnke and Pat Gleason has agreed to work with me on a print for next year, yay! I can't wait to see what it's going to look like.

We will also be selling the nude fairy (posted a few months back) we worked on together for his instructional book at the show.

Next up: I have no idea...

Etrigan and Zatanna

So here it is......Finally done after barely working on it for months. I really need to start cranking these out faster and not just work on them a little bit every other week. I'm definitely tired of looking at it, but I like it. Pat helped me with the initial layout and thank god he did because my first version was a constipated mess.

Next up: Archangel (Death) vs. Wolverine (Death)

Caricature

Tom has been helping me learn to draw caricatures, so I can hopefully get a job doing them. Here are the long awaited results.

Green Lantern #50 comic signing!

So I set up a signing at Hot Comics, a local comic book store. Originally it was just going to be Doug, but I convinced Pat and Tom to join in also. After a morning interview on Fox 9 with Meteorologist Keith Marler about Green Lantern, everyone showed up for the signing at one. It was a fun day and the guys and Hot Comics did a great job of setting up the store and making us feel welcome, with wall to wall Green Lantern and anything else the guys had worked on.

Somehow I got Pat to draw me a Natu sketch (although his isn't finished yet) and then Tom drew me one and then Doug said he'd draw me one, yay!

Sketches were done, comics signed, and then we went and ate steak.

I don't know why I do the pouty lipped, squishy faced thing either....
